The Kratom Price Guide

When I first started brewing kratom, I was careful to do a lot of research online. In fact, I still do. I looked into the history of the Mitragyna speciosa plant, studied the myriad purported effects and carefully vetted kratom vendors.

Like so many people, I wanted to know I was getting top shelf kratom from the best source(s) possible. Also like others, it took me a long time to discover kratom powder. At the time, I was new to the world of nootropics and I fell for every so-called “limitless” pill out there.

None of them measured up to kratom as I would learn the hard way after burning through everything from generic Modafinil to alleged kratom shots that turned out to contain the far weaker Mitragyna javanica extract.

Eventually, I became well-versed in kratom and tried to share that knowledge with anyone who would listen. Today, the most common question I get is, “What are the best kratom prices?” and “What are the cheapest kratom options?”

In the following article, I will attempt to answer both of those questions and shed some light on the varying price points that different kratom vendors demand.

A lot of newbies to the noot scene wonder whether kratom is something that is available to them. This is a tough question to answer directly because of kratom’s uncertain legality the world over. As we’ve discussed in the past, kratom has been banned in some countries.

At the time of this writing, kratom is illegal in Australia and Myanmar. It is also heavily regulated in Denmark, Finland, Germany, Romania and New Zealand.

If you live in the US, kratom is legal in most states with legislation pending in some of them. Of all the states that make up America, the only ones that have outlawed possession of kratom are Alabama, Arkansas, Indiana, Tennessee, Vermont and Wisconsin.

Kratom is also legal in most regions of Canada. It is not uncommon to find kratom extracts and kratom powder in some head shops and smoke shops across the US and the True North. But before you waste gas driving around, attempting to track down a head shop that carries kratom, it’s important that you know that there are tons of kratom vendors online, many of whom offer fast and free shipping.

One key factor that most consumers fail to consider when buying kratom is what I call the “more bang for your bulk option.” All too often, kratom-related reviews base their top kratom prices and top kratom vendors on how much a standard size bag of kratom powder costs. But the wiser choice is to go the CostCo-style route and buy bulk kratom powder.

If you have a safe way to store kratom in bulk, it pays to pay more for a bulk amount because you’re ultimately saving in the long run.

One smart choice for the “more bang for your bulk” option is Bikhuk Trading Company. They offer approximately 2.7 lbs of quality kratom powder for just $149.90 with shipping included in the price. Bikhuk ships to anywhere that kratom is legal so there’s no need to worry if you’re not a US citizen or resident of Canada.

Another reason Bikhuk is a viable option for bulk kratom powder is because they are an established company that has been around for a decade, a good sign that they know what they are doing and they’re doing it well. As you can see when you visit their website, they are dedicated to the fight against kratom discrimination.

If you simply can’t afford to buy kratom in bulk or you don’t have the ability to store bulk amounts of kratom, there are plenty of other places to get it and plenty of other great deals.

Kratora offers 1 oz of certain kratom strains for $11.99. By comparison, has kratom starting at $9.99 for a 1 oz bag that contains 28 grams of pure kratom powder. Another option that is similar to Kratora is Mmm, Speciosa! They offer 25 gram bags of kratom powder for $11.99 and bulk kratom powder for $69.99 (x 250 grams).

Mmm, Speciosa is a trusted vendor with a range of prices and options. One of the reasons they are a popular choice is because they are constantly updating their product line, adding more and more unique kratom strains like Plantation Maeng Da and Sunrise Bali.

Botanical Wellness are purveyors of micronized kratom powders that sell for just $9.00 for a 1 oz package. Not only does their price make them a leading contender for the number one spot but their line of diverse ethnobotanicals is proof positive that they are a company that cares about providing legit flowers and other plant matter.

Kraken Kratom is another strong contender because of their prices and variety. Their OG Bali Kratom sells for $8.45 for 28 grams. They are also active on social media and encourage their customers to spread the word.

Every visitor who shares their product pages on Facebook or Twitter gets 10% off on their order. Kraken Kratom coupons are also readily available online with some sites offering as much as 20% off deals.

But the number one spot can only go to one vendor and when it comes to price, you can’t beat Wicked Kratom. They offer a 1 oz bag of Green Malay kratom for just $7.99. They are also renowned for their variety, offering enhanced kratom and kratom resin in addition to their more traditional kratom powders.

Wicked Kratom provide their customers a flat rate of $7 for Priority shipping and coupon codes.

Kraken Kratom and Wicked Kratom are not the only vendors out there offering coupon codes for their products. The coupons on can be redeemed at several kratom websites including Happy Hippo Herbals and Soul Speciosa.

With so many vendors popping up every day, it is hard to know which companies are legit and which ones are shit. It is always a good idea to vet a vendor before purchasing from them. The Reddit community is a good start because users are regularly posting about their experiences with different kratom companies.

One Redditor asked the community if they knew of any reputable kratom vendors. The responses were virtually unanimous with users naming Kraken Kratom, Phytoextractum, Green Leaf Kratom and Mmm Speciosa as some of the more legit companies currently operating.

However, one user admonished against ordering from Phytoextractum, saying, “I received poor product from phytoextractum on multiple occasions, so just a fair warning. Their shipping is quick as well as email communication. If the product was better I would happily order again.”

In a subreddit about the best kratom vendors in 2017, Canopy, Mmm Speciosa and Socal were among the top picks for the better companies currently offering kratom powder and kratom capsules.

One user felt the need to praise Canopy Botanicals, writing that he was “blown away” by their superior customer service and free samples. Another Reddit review echoed this sentiment, raving about the fast shipping time as well as the pleasant surprise of receiving a free sample of white vein kratom without expecting it.

“This stuff is exceptional,” he said. “Lately I haven’t been getting much of the…energizing…effects from Kratom, it’s primarily been just…mood lift/stabilizing, but taking my usual dose of the Kratom I received from canopy botanicals brought back all of those wonderful qualities that a lot of people seem to lose when using daily.”

And they’re not the only ones digging Canopy’s customer relations and product quality. Yet another Redditor gave them a shout out to thank them for their customer service, expedient shipping and generosity.

Unfortunately, kratom does not appear to be in stock at Canopy Botanicals at this time, but for serious noot nuts, they still offer a wide variety of natural remedies and teas including Yerba Mate, Akuamma seeds and kava powder at competitive prices.

Kraken Kratom has a shaky relationship with people in the Reddit community. While some have posted that they had a great experience ordering from them, others have posted warning, explaining that the website claims to offer free same day shipping but doesn’t fulfill that promise and, in fact, lies to their customers.

In his post, he writes, “On Saturday no package so I email and they said ‘oh yeah we forgot to tell you there’s bad weather here and your package didn’t go out the same day but we dropped off your package with USPS on Saturday, sorry.’

“Come to find out through the tracking info that they didn’t give my package to USPS until today and it won’t arrive until this Saturday. How is that possible, I paid for 2 day shipping??? Well that’s because they actually sent it Priority mail…

“So Kraken Kratom charges for 2 day shipping and sends the package USPS Priority Mail. That’s bullshit. Or their shippers are incompetent and don’t know how to use They also lied that they dropped off the package Saturday; it was dropped off today.”

Most of the more reputable kratom vendors are personally active on Reddit and able to answer any questions potential customers might have. These are the better kratom vendors because they are committed to providing superior customer service across multiple platforms.

One vendor that should not be considered a legitimate company is Island Lion Herbals. When you click on a link to their website via Google, a warning comes up that says that attackers are trying to steal your personal information and that their website is not a secure one.
