Red Bali vs Red Borneo Comparison

June 27, 2018 Articles, Kratom Reviews, Kratom Strains

Some of the skeptics among us don’t put all that much stock in the idea of different kratom strains. I’ve actually come across message boards where users claimed that there was absolutely no difference between red vein, white vein, green vein, etc.

In fact, one person posted a comment about how Maeng Da was weaker than Yellow Vietnam which seems like nonsense IMO, but then again, I wasn’t there and have no idea how this person dosed. The point is, yes, results may vary, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t any difference between one strain and another.

Today’s post is for the cynical kratomite who claims to know all and not really care.

You should care because caring about kratom is important and caring about the results is equally important. Knowing what to expect from a kratom strain is imperative to the kratom experience. And while kratom is not intended for human consumption per the FDA, that doesn’t mean people don’t have very spirited opinions about its historical uses and purported benefits.

As I’m sure I’ve already made clear, each kratom strain may unlock a distinct effect, one not shared by all kratom powders. Red vein kratom is one of the top sellers here on Kratom Crazy and each offshoot of the red vein comes with its own potent qualities.

So, how does Red Bali measure up to Red Borneo? Let’s have a look!

There are a number of factors behind why this one flies off the proverbial shelves, not least of which is its potential for strong sedating effects. This is the strain favored by insomniacs and folks with work shift sleep disorder.

Supposedly capable of inducing a sense of calm and well-being, Red Bali possesses notable analgesic properties as well as a multitude of other purported benefits. Hailing from Indonesia, Red Bali is grafted from Borneo and Sumatra kratom plants.

Named for the port where shipments of kratom are exported, Bali has many distinctive features, such as its alleged ability to provide users with sharper focus and mild stimulation.

Other effects that users have experienced include:

  • A sense of calm
  • Muscle relaxation
  • Improved mood
  • Sedation
  • Motivation
  • Restful sleep

Some have suggested that Red Bali has a lower threshold than other strains. Others have said that they get a case of the wobbles from it. On the other hand, some have sworn by it, saying that is off the charts.

One user who purchased Red Bali from Oregon Kratom posted about experiencing a “beautiful serene feeling.” Another user wrote, “Red Bali is usually more on the relaxing side. It isn’t an actual strain, then again neither are any of the others.”

This last person is referring to the fact that Red Bali is grafted from two or more plants during the growth process. This grafting accounts for the maturity of the plant in its raw, natural form and may account for the level of alkaloid content present within the strain, lending to its sometimes euphoric effect.

When you’ve been ripping your hair out over a seemingly insurmountable project at work or struggling to produce your best work, Red Borneo is there to help you take a breather from those daily stressors. It may be the single most relaxing strain in the red vein family, offering the potential for mild sedation, an uplifting sense of self and an overall calming quality.

Red Borneo gets its name from the third largest island in the world, this kratom leaf is known to be profoundly pleasurable, stimulating the user while relaxing body and mind. Its anxiolytic properties are said to help people with anxiety disorders and depression cope with daily life, although these claims have not been corroborated by medical experts and are not the opinions of any governing body.

It may interact with dopamine in our brains, resulting in that feeling of well-being I mentioned earlier. Mood enhancement is not an uncommon effect from using kratom, but Red Borneo is believed to be one of the greatest for fighting the blues.

While kratom is not intended for human or animal use, it has been used in the past a folk medicine among those afflicted with fatigue, scoliosis, chronic back pain, fibromyalgia and more.

People have raved about Borneo for about as long as it’s been readily available in the US and abroad. One user on Reddit wrote, “I finally understand all the love I see for it on this sub. I’m pain free, feeling relaxed, and perfectly fine just sitting and browsing the web.”

Another user responded to this, saying, “I’ve found Red Borneo to be an amazing strain for acute pain. It saves my ass (and my head) on migraine days.”

As with all kratom strains, users can experience mild to severe side effects from taking red vein strains. Potential adverse effects may include any of the following:

  • Dizziness
  • Lethargy
  • Nausea
  • Constipation
  • Vomiting
  • Irritability
  • Fatigue
  • Dilated pupils
  • Heart palpitations
  • Diarrhea

Borneo may be the better of the two when it comes to alleviating stress, but both Borneo and Bali are two bad ass kratom powders for soothing one’s mood and potentially relaxing during a tough time.
