The Golden Monk Vendor Review: Are They Legit?

Note: The following is a guest post from one of our rather enthusiastic return customers. The opinions expressed in this post are his and his alone, and do not represent the opinions of Kratom Crazy, its agents or assigns.

The following is my personal experience having ordered from The Golden Monk, an exciting new company in the kratom industry with an interesting variety of strains and some significant savings for customers new and old alike.

I should preface this review by saying that The Golden Monk was nice enough to send me some free samples to showcase their product line, but I am not affiliated with their company and have done my due diligence in researching their brand.

First, a bit about me and my origin story, to put it in comic book terms.

My name’s Travis and I’m a 29-year old guy from Portland who started using kratom about six years ago when I was suffering from some spinal issues. I’d had Fibromyalgia for most of my life (diagnosed at eight years old), so I was already no stranger to inflammation and fatigue, but the car accident I was in left me with lumbar compressions and verterbral fractures.

Pain management doctors tried to throw pills at the problem, but all that did was send me down a spiral of addiction. After I kicked the habit, I would go for epidurals and trigger point shots to try and relieve my lower back pain.

None of this worked and the constant fatigue from Fibro was only made worse by the chronic pain of my back problems. A friend who was working at a botanicals shop told me about Mitragyna speciosa (kratom), a plant whose leaves had been used throughout the ages as a Southeast Asian folk medicine.

At the time, I didn’t put much stock in such things. After all, Fibromyalgia patients are regularly told to try things like Ginseng and Valerian root to relieve their symptoms and all of those natural remedies hadn’t done anything to quell my daily agony.

One day, my friend dropped by with a pouch of 28 grams of Green Maeng Da and taught me the toss & wash method (basically, spooning kratom powder into your mouth and then drinking water or juice to swish the powder around so it won’t stick to the roof of your mouth).

To make an extremely long story short, I took 4 grams and within like a half hour, I was feeling better than I had in years. No exaggeration. My joints no longer felt sore, my back wasn’t bothering me and the depression that had taken hold since the accident lifted like a storm cloud replaced by sunshine.

Ever since, I’ve been using kratom on and off, usually cycling my dose so that I take it three days in a row and then break for four. This is a good way of avoiding tolerance which is the last thing any of us need.

So, I decided to check out this new vendor because some of my old go-to vendors have either gone out of business or seriously jacked up their prices. What I found when I looked into them was pretty surprising given their lack of name recognition compared to other heavyweights.

Remember that MC Hammer song from back in the day? “Too Legit to Quit”? That title pretty much describes The Golden Monk, a relatively new kratom vendor that has solidified its reputation in a short amount of time.

Based out of Nevada, The Golden Monk offers free Priority shipping on all orders over $39.99 which is ideal for most kratom users who prefer to buy in bulk. There are a lot of incentives here like loyalty discounts and daily savings.

What is most exciting to me is the product catalog; they regularly stock Horned Leaf kratom which is one of the harder to find strains online. I’ve only found real Horned Kratom at maybe like three different spots. They also offer kratom capsules which is a good option for beginners because you don’t have to fuss with a scale or spoon or anything.

I don’t know about you, but I’m a big believer in a fair price. A lot of kratom vendors offer sick deals on their products that make you question the legitimacy of their product. Like if you’re telling me I’m gonna get 30 grams of kratom powder for five bucks, I gotta wonder where that powder is coming from and how you could have possibly sourced the stuff for pennies on the dollar.

The Golden Monk’s prices might seem steep compared to some of these kinds of wholesale kratom companies, but the more experienced kratom user will recognize the average price point as a standard starting point for quality kratom.

Their lab-tested powders are on sale for $19.99 and go up to $369.99 when buying in bulk. That’s less than $400 for 5 grams! Not bad at all IMO.

If that isn’t affordable enough already, first-timers also get a 5% off discount and second-timers get 10% off for returning.

As I mentioned earlier, free Priority shipping is available, but what’s more important is that all customers are given a tracking number to ensure that their package arrives safely, securely and on time. The company’s customer service people are also on standby if any issues arise with your order.

This is one vendor whose product reflects their name; the kratom powders available from The Golden Monk are more than likely to make you feel Zen and awesome. Given their money back guarantee, you really can’t go wrong.
