Bali Elite Blonde by Happy Hippo Kratom Brand Review

September 02, 2018 Articles, Kratom Reviews, Kratom Strains

Happy Hippo Herbals is a favorite among the kratom community. Having earned a reputation as far back as 2014, they have continued to wow customers with a host of fine offerings, from fine Phenibut to the meh okay Himalayan Shilajit.

Their line of unique kratom strains include everything from Horned Dark Red Malaysian (aka Slo-Mo Hippo) to their Maeng Da Emerald Special (aka Bhagwan Osho Hippo). But it’s their Bali strain that really caught our eye and those of countless others in the kratom space.

Today, we’ll check this one out for ourselves and, also, see what other people have experienced from this exciting brand.

Hailing from the Happy Valley, aka Boise, Idaho, the five cats behind Happy Hippo (and 1 hippo as their About Us page insists) have been providing top notch kratom for a minute. Their customer base is strong and it’s obvious that they care about that base.

It’s not hard to track down a Happy Hippo coupon code nor is it a rare occurrence for this vendor to run special deals and discounts. The savings are manifold with this one and they are regularly updating their product line.

What’s especially cool about these cats is their clear differentiation between each strain and its purported effects. By that, I mean that names they give their individual strains hint at what will be in store for the purchaser. For example, if you’re in the market for a kratom strain that is energy-enhancing and stimulating, you’ll probably want to pick up some of their Hyper Hippo capsules. The name says it all!

Of particular interest to us was their Bali strain; Bali Elite Blonde might sound like a high-priced hooker, but it’s actually a mellow strain of kratom powder with euphoric possibilities. At least that was my personal experience burning it.

This relaxing brand is slow going at first (at 4-5 grams per dose), but gradually the calm washed over me and I found myself sitting around with a stupid grin on my face. It took me back to that sense of contentment I used to get as a kid, just chilling out with a bowl of Boo Berry cereal and watching Rocko’s Modern Life on Nickelodeon.

Colors were more vibrant in much the same way they are on a threshold dose of Lysergic Acid Diamide, but not in any overwhelming or bizarre way. On the contrary, everything looked pristine and beautiful. Had my girlfriend been home, I would have likely suggested taking a walk in a nearby park.

What was really dope about my first dose was the unexpected sense of euphoria. Normally, I never experience this, not even with my ordinary dosage of Maeng Da, but Happy Hippo’s Bali brought me to a true state of excitement and elation. Everything was kinda Zen, pardon the Bush reference (showing my age again).

The duration of its effects were approximately 4 ½ to 5 hours, dissipating almost entirely by 5 ½ hours. I didn’t get the wobbles or any nausea, even though I had a little trouble getting it down at first.

The community has debated whether Happy Hippo is affordable or overpriced, but IMO you can’t go wrong with one ounce of potent Bali kratom powder for 12 bucks. Prices on their other products range from $7 to $15 with a ceiling of $35 on their Newbie Hippo Starter Pack.

One user on Reddit said, “They have excellent customer service. Their packaging and shipping are good. Their kratom is good to high quality. They’re consistent.” They also addressed the charges that they are overpriced, saying, “Can you find all of these things for a lower price? Absolutely. Can you find none of them for a higher price? Yep.”

In response to this post, another user pointed out that Happy Hippo was the first kratom vendor they ever tried. They then tried two other vendors and found Happy Hippo to be the best of the three.

He goes on to add, “Their customer service, shipping, etc. is wonderful. I’ve never had any issues with them at all & was a customer for probably a year or more. The few times I had to contact them for support, the minor issues were resolved very quickly & cheerfully.”

Elsewhere, a user with the ever-so-subtle net handle SmokeyMcTrots wrote, “So far the top shelf bali from hippo has been the best strain I’ve found…”

Well, if Smokey likes it you know it’s good.

There you have it! In my experience, and the experience of many others, Happy Hippo’s Bali Elite is some of the best Bali around and definitely worth $12 for an ounce. If you’re not sold on the idea of buying that much, consider getting your hands on their multi-strain sampler pack.

Don’t be surprised if you end up acting like a hippo and gobbling up loads of the stuff. Happy Kbombing, boys and girls!
