Found in the remote tropics of Southeast Asia where it is harvested by the skilled hands of experienced petani, kratom is a prized Ayurvedic herb with a wide assortment of utilities. Maeng Da has its origins in Thailand where it was first grown in Roti De Forest in Pattani City. Cuttings from the Thai Maeng Da plant were transplanted to Indonesia and Papua New Guinea where they now grow to maximum maturity on sanctioned parcels of land.

Maeng Da is a colloquial name for “Pimp Kratom,” so named for its superior strength and bracing finish. It is widely regarded as the strongest of kratom strains, although this claim has been debated to death by passionate kratom connoisseurs who often insist that White Sumatra is more robust.

Most users agree that White Maeng Da enhances clarity and attentiveness while improving one’s ability to get work done. Personally, I’ve enjoyed it as a mid-afternoon strain, one that can get me through the second leg of my work day with ease.

Whites are generally thought to be more invigorating and enhancing than most, due in large part to their nootropic properties. However, users should consider their own sensitivities and preferences before brewing white kratom as it doesn’t agree with everyone.

Some of the mitigating factors which affect one’s experience with white vein kratom include body type, diet, lifestyle and allergies. Those who are allergic to coffee should likely avoid kratom as the Mitragyna speciosa leaf is derived from the coffee family of plants.
