Yellow Malaysian Kratom AKA Yellow Malay Kratom distinguishes itself from other gold and yellow vein kratom powder by delivering a puissant aroma and a brilliant hue that’s virtually unparalleled.

While strains such as Gold Bali Kratom are prized for their serenity and “chill,” Yellow Malaysian Kratom is infamous for its game-changing level of exhilaration. Few strains can claim the same degree of rapturous bliss.

Although Gold Bali and Yellow Vietnam have become the gold standard in the global marketplace, Yellow Malay is easily the most unique, offering a singular dynamic between relief and animation.

Today’s review will break down what makes this fermented blend special, why you need to check it out, what users think of it and where you can score top shelf Malay kratom powder.

Let’s roll!

WHAT IS YELLOW MALAYSIAN KRATOM?

As I said in my strains guide, yellow kratom does not occur naturally as a strain, rather it is derived from plain leaf. In the case of Yellow Malay, the leaves of a traditional Malaysian kratom tree are taken from one of several plantations in Myanmar or Papua New Guinea.

Once these red vein kratom leaves have been hand-selected by an experienced petani, they are left to dry in direct sunlight for up to 12 hours. After photosynthesis has altered the leaves’ natural alkaloid content, they are sifted to remove stem and vein prior to full micronization.

The following is a short list of the most common Yellow Malaysian Kratom effects:

  • Mild restorative properties
  • Moderate elation
  • Invigoration

YELLOW MALAYSIAN KRATOM REVIEW

Personally, I have found Yellow Malaysian to be too subtle for my purposes. As someone who reviews strains on the reg, you can well imagine how jaded I’ve become. Needless to say, it takes a lot to impress me and this one just didn’t do the trick.

Despite my overall positive experience, I can’t say it did much for my usual reasons. As most of us can agree, we turn to gold and yellow kratom for something stronger and more pronounced than plain leaf. This simply wasn’t the case when I brewed Yellow Malay.

After taking four grams, it took a full 20 minutes for me to feel anything whatsoever. Once the initial pickup arrived, I was disappointed by how delicate it was. To be fair, I am all about nuance … but this one lacked any notable finesse.

On the plus side, I felt pain-free and capable of slogging through work with minimal effort. But it would be hard to determine how much of that owed to a restful night sleep versus how much was due to brewing Yellow Malay.

YELLOW MALAYSIAN KRATOM DOSAGE – HOW TO TAKE THIS STRAIN

I’m always hesitant to suggest dosages since everyone responds differently to a given cultivar. This is true of golds and yellows as much as any other M. speciosa variant.

That being said, I’d place this one somewhere between a mild Super Green Malay and a strong Red Bali. The following should be suitable for beginners and adepts alike.

  • Threshold – 2 grams
  • Low – 3.5 grams
  • Moderate – 4.5 to 5 grams
  • High – 6 to 8 grams

I have to stress the importance of taking Yellow Malaysian Kratom in moderation. Regardless of how weak this one was for me, it may be overwhelming to those who are unfamiliar with kratom’s aroma.

First-time users should always start with a threshold dose before graduating to a moderate dosage. The more experienced among us should stick to a moderate to high dosage, cycling their doses in between so as to avoid developing a tolerance.

Those with preexisting health conditions should not consume kratom, lest it cause any adverse effects such as elevated heart rate, hallucination, liver damage or seizure. Pregnant and lactating mother should not take kratom as it may be detrimental to the health of their child.

WHAT ARE PEOPLE SAYING ABOUT YELLOW MALAYSIAN KRATOM?

Users have been perplexed by the purported effects of this strain, suggesting that it’s as much as a daytime strain as a nighttime strain. One bewildered user said, “I just got a sample of yellow malay. i can’t really tell what the buzz is. uplifting- (ish?) , but calm (-ish?).”

Another user agreed, writing, “I purchased some yellow Malay from SoCal a while back and it feels just like you described…relaxing but with a bit of euphoria.

Others have noted the smooth onset and mellow aroma. One user pointed out that yellow strains provide a more calm and relaxed mood “without being as heavy” as most plain leaf.

BUY YELLOW MALAY ONLINE

It’s always tempting to buy kratom near you, but purchasing locally can cost you a whole helluva lot more than your hard-earned paycheck. In the past, smoke shop kratom brands have been linked to hospitalization, sickness, kratom overdose and even death.

Brands such as Krypton have been guilty of cutting their M. speciosa powder with harmful additives such as the dangerous synthetic painkiller 0-desmetyhltramadol. More alarmingly, several kratom vendors have had their products recalled by the FDA due to potential bacterial contamination.

If you want to prevent sickness or adulteration, buying locally just won’t cut it. Your best bet is to join one of the top kratom forums and see what customers are saying. Online kratom forum communities contain countless strain reviews, brand recommendation and vendor warnings.

When you’re looking to score some top shelf Yellow Malay, look no further than the following list of trusted kratom suppliers. Each of these vendors has been thoroughly vetted and are renowned for their quality and affordability.

  • MitraGaia
  • Original Harvest Kratom
  • PurKratom

CLOSING THOUGHTS

As a longtime fan of Super Green Malay, I can definitely recommend Yellow Malay to anyone who’s ever wished for a subtler version of that super strain. Just don’t expect much if you’re used to stronger offerings.
