A lot of kratom newbies order their kratom only to be confused on the method of intake. This article will outline some of the tips and tricks to help you understand how to use the kratom toss and wash method.
Probably the easiest way to consume kratom would be to make capsules. The problem with this is that you need a fair amount of kratom for it to work. Therefore, you may be swallowing a half a dozen to a dozen large size pills before you get your required dosage. You can decide to go the pill route but it takes time and labour and is honestly not our recommended source of intake.
Kratom Powder – Not Easily Soluble in Water
Like all powdered extracts from any plant, kratom is not so easy to mix with water. You will find in doing so and perhaps already have found out that I will clump and stick to the side of the glass. This is because the texture of fine kratom powder is not easily dis-solvable and you may find a lot of kratom residue within the glass. So what is someone to do? What is the best way to take kratom?
Toss and Wash
Toss and wash is a method kratom users commonly refer to as it is, perhaps, the most common form of intake. Be warned, that kratom does not always have the most pleasant taste. It has a slight bitter taste that some may not be able to handle. It honestly is not that bad once you get used to it, but if you are one of those who is sensitive to bitter taste, you may want to follow the method of making kratom pills.
Toss and wash is a fairly simple technique. First, take the measured kratom (if you have questions on how to measure refer to our kratom measuring guide). Now, scoop the kratom into your mouth. You will find that it will stick and clump to your tongue and side of your mouth. Next, take a big glass of water, juice or any liquid and toss the powder around almost like you are swishing mouthwash. As you swish, the kratom will be free and you are good to swallow. That’s all there is to the toss and wash method. Also, don’t forget to brush your teeth, as most of the time there will be some kratom residue left in your teeth.
Now, it is important to remember not to inhale while doing the toss and wash technique as harmful kratom dust may enter the lungs. It is unsure what effects kratom has on the lungs so it is best to avoid all together. It is likely that there are components of silica and other harmful ingredients in your kratom blend that are not suited to be in the lungs.
Most people who toss and wash kratom do 1 teaspoon at a time. If you are really good, you can do two but you may feel comfortable trying one or even half a teaspoon first. Whatever you are comfortable with. Regardless, toss and wash is the quickest and most easy way to ingest kratom. It requires a lot less time compared to that of other methods, so you can spend more time on your activities.
